Fionna Tough is a Settler person, born and raised in Sudbury/ N’Swakamok. After studying Linguistics & Social Science at U of T, she headed to Peterborough for more hands-on education in eco-construction and agriculture. She is a graduate of Fleming College’s Sustainable Agriculture Program and has been growing food and educating others to do the same for the better part of the last eight years, whether on other local farms, at her own market garden, or for various not-for-profits in Sudbury and Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
In 2021, Fionna began studying Project Management at Cambrian where she learned how to apply the PM Framework to community development work. She is very excited to be coordinating the Flour Mill Community Farm, a project close to her heart and in honour of David Dubois & Erica Lagios, who were movers and shakers in the local food movement.
